The Company

In the year 1988, the private and independent Institute WETECH was established by Dr. Farshad Dehnad, an international accepted expert for water technology. He gained his scientific experience amongst others at Research Centre Karlsruhe, Technical University Hamburg-Harburg as well as Stanford University (California).

With establishment of WETECH Institute the vision to reduce the distance between industry and research institutions could be realized.

WETECH Institute co-operates with national and international research institutions, public authorities and private companies. As co-ordinating interface WETECH Institute supports the realisation of R&D and commercial projects.

For project development in the region of Central Asia as well as in other arid and semi-arid regions WETECH Institute worked as co-ordinator for German Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF). Therefore WETECH Institute opened co-ordination offices in Tehran, Iran, and in Yixing, China.

With its branches abroad WETECH Institute supports the participation of German water industry in local projects in the region.

2000 Establishment of Co-ordination office in Tehran, Iran
2002 Participation in the enterprise Touw Environment engineering Co. Ltd. in Zhejiang, China

Sworn and court appointed assessor and commercial chemist
2000-2008 Advisor of German Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF) in the field of water technology (coordination office Iran)
2005-2008 Expansion of co-ordination work as advisor of BMBF in the field of water technology to further countries in the arid and semi-arid region of Middle East and Central Asia
